A finer person and pilot is not to be found. I flew co-pilot for Bob decades ago. When we talked years later and into retirement, laughter always surfaced as we recalled events of our flying days. Bob stayed with my family and me one night when we had back to back flying trips the next day; the event was full of excitement that we often recalled for a moment of more laughter. I met Bob in Junior HIgh as the son of parents my parents knew well being members of the East Side Businessmen's Association, as the smoothest dancer at East High school dances, and a very special friend that lasted a lifetime to become even more important in 1962 when I married Dick Murray, a fellow military fighter pilot and soon-to-be TWA pilot. That bond became even stronger when Bob married my good friend Sharon Whitefoot. The friendship and togetherness we've had together created a love and respect that leaves us feeling like we've lost a family member.. God Bless him for everything he did that made the moments together through the years as special as they were with memories that will live on forever. Catherine Tripalin Murray .

I am so sorry to learn of Bob’s death. Being same-age cousins, we shared a lot of good times visiting grandparents in Viroqua, WI, over the years. My sympathy to Sharon, Cindy and Michelle. Remember all the good times. Catherine Ostrem
