MADISON-Marian E. Hoveland, age 87, of Madison passed away on Dec. 2, 2017, at Oak Park Place, with her loving husband by her side. She was born on Sept. 16, 1930, in Argyle, Wis., the daughter of Alva Elroy and Inez (Titus) Gunderson. She married Earl “Bill” Hoveland, on Aug. 19, 1950, in Chanute AFB, Ill. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Bill; son, Robert (Karen) of Cabo San Lucas, Mex.; and daughter, Katherine Hoveland (Tony Kannenberg) of Madison. I’d like to honor and remember Mrs. Hoveland on her birthday. I was fortunate to have known her while I was in high school, she was always so kind and welcoming to me. I was in awe of her disciplined work ethic, her unconditional love for her children and husband, and her clever and witty sense of humor!
