Doris H. Sundt

MADISON- Doris Helen Sundt, age 92, passed away on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017.  She was born in Watertown on Dec. 30, 1924, the daughter of Bernard and Edna (Bishoff) Tietz.  Doris attended Watertown Schools and worked at Oscar Mayer and the University.  She married Arnold Sundt on Sept. 12, 1947.  Doris liked traveling, needle point, playing cards and cross word puzzles.  She is survived by her son, Duane (Alice) Sundt; two granddaughters, Kendra (Russell) Stock of South Carolina and Heather (Aaron) Poster of Madison; one great-granddaughter, Hailee Poster; sister, Elizabeth Knutson; and many nieces and nephew.  Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Palmer and Bernard; and sisters, Gertrude Tews and Shirley Kuehl.  Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.  Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
