Obituary
MADISON-Devey Lee Parman, age 79, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born on Sept. 4, 1938, in Madison, the daughter of Irvin and Eva (Sailor) Hewitt. She married Keith Parman on Feb. 4, 1961. Devey graduated from Madison East High School in 1957. Her favorite time, was time spent with family; coaching her son's baseball teams, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and trips to the cabin. She also enjoyed cooking and many nights at Mayberry. Devey is survived by her husband, Keith; sons, Bob Parman and Ray (Trina) Parman; grandchildren, Robert, Kody (Laura), Olivia and Blake; sister, Sharon (Donald) Davis; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald (Marilyn) Hewitt, Robert (Joan) Hewitt and Emerald "Leroy" (Margaret) Hewitt; and sister, Waiva Jean (Keith) Loy. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017. Visitation will be held at the funeral home 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. We would like to thank the staff of Agrace HospiceCare and St. Mary's Hospital for the care of our mother.

My heartfelt condolances to the Parman family, and friends. I never Devie in 2 ways, as the aunt of my good friends Sue, and Tina Parman. And as a coworker at St. Mary's hospital.
She was an awesome lady, who really cared.
She was loved in many ways.
She had spunk, and will be missed by many.
I'm proud to have called her a friend.

Dear Parmans,
I am so saddened to her of your loss. Our thoughts, prayers and blessings are with you. I will never forget Deveys voice screaming out to me as I was a child telling me how much of a polock I was. What A fond memory and spirit that I will truly miss.

Dear Keith,Ray and Bob. It's a sad time for all of us. As my only sibling and my children's only Aunt she will be dearly missed. Dev had a good time wherever she went .My kids adored her and have many fond memories of times spent at the Parman home. All those ice cream sundaes. 😊 So my dear sister, you will be missed, but in our hearts forever. We love you.

Tomorrow is going to be extremely hard for all of us that knew, and loved Aunt Dev. As hard as it will be to say goodbye to you, I'm so glad you are with your loved ones that went before you, and you are able to be you, again!!! I just wish I could hear that laugh one more time! I am so proud to be named after you. You were one of a kind! Rest in peace. I love you Aunt Dev. ❤
