Michael Christopher Peronto

COTTAGE GROVE- Michael Christopher Peronto, age 19, passed away on Monday, Oct. 30 2017, in Cottage Grove. He was born on Jan. 29, 1998, the son of Carl Peronto and Karri (Thorson) Peronto. Michael grew up in Cottage Grove, attended Cottage Grove Schools, Monona Grove High School and Madison College. Recently, he was employed as a restaurant cook. Michael enjoyed outdoor sports especially skate boarding, long boarding, snowboarding and golf. The Bears were his favorite football team and he was a fan of classic rock.  Michael is survived by his parents; sister, Jessie; maternal grandmother, Marilyn Schanel; uncles, James (Lori ) Thorson, Jim (Arlene) Peronto, Vance Peronto, and Larry and Jerry Swanson; many cousins; and his beloved pet rabbit, Ace.  He was preceded in death by his uncle, Jerry Thorson; maternal grandparents, Jerome and Dorothy Thorson; and paternal grandfather, Carl Peronto. A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. A luncheon will be served at the funeral home after the burial. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service on Saturday.  Michael was a bright, loving son, brother and friend. Michael, you are loved and will be forever missed by your family and friends. Your memory is our keepsake from which weʼll never part. God has you in his keeping and we have you in our hearts.
