Myrtle Mae Peterson

COLUMBUS-Myrtle M. “Myrt” Peterson, age 88, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, at Home Again Assisted Living in Columbus.  She was born on May 30, 1929, in Columbus, the daughter of Edward and Leota (Kreger) Schliewe.  Myrt was united in marriage to Philip “Pete” Peterson on June 19, 1954.  They were married for 63 years until Pete’s passing on Aug. 15, 2017.  Myrt is survived by nieces and nephews, Bernice Fehrman of Sun Prairie, Beverly Voelske of Columbus, Ronald (Kathy) Koehn of Columbus, Randy (Marsha) Koehn of Columbus, and Bob (Janell) Koehn of Las Vegas, NV.  She is further survived by sister-in-law, Mildred Peterson of Madison, and other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete; her parents; and her sisters and their husbands, Dorothy (Lawrence) Koehn and Evelyn (Philip) Macaulay. A funeral service will be held at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 401 Femrite Dr., Monona, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017.
