I worked with Wayne for many years at AmFam. Wayne always had a smile and a helping hand. He was a wonderful person. I always thought of him as a gentle giant... big personality and a big man, but so kind and fun loving. My prayers are with you all.

Wayne was a classmate in Deerfield, and we were later together in Air Force basic training. I was a 90-pound weakling, and big Wayne really looked out for me - I've always appreciated it. It was a joy that we could reconnect at our 50-year high school reunion. He was a great guy and will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. Thanks for keeping me off balance at AmFam, a quick laugh and all the AmFam insights when I first joined AmFam. Thanks for putting up with me. You were a great asset to the team. JIm Whiteside
