My thoughts and prayers are with you Laurie, Pat Marty and the rest of the family. Though I wasn't blessed to have Shorty in my life very long, the time I did get to spend with him was truly a blessing. I will forever hold you all in my heart. I met Shorty a short time ago and spent far too short a time enjoying his company. Just long enough to build one bird house. It didn't take long to realize that Shorty was a warm and caring man. I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to share time with him. Pat, thoughts and prayers for you and your family. Tom - Agrace Volunteer

As an Agrace volunteer, I got to know Shorty as a generous, kind-hearted man who loved to laugh and make others laugh. He liked beating Pat and me at King's Corners. I have two of his bird houses hanging in the trees in our yard.; always reminding me of his wonderful free spirit. I send hugs to Pat, his devoted wife. He spoke often to me of the goodness and love of his family--- his life-time greatest gifts.. My prayers to the family for comfort during this time of loss. I feel so privileged to have known Shorty and Pat.
