LODI-Gary Lee Morris, age 50, of Lodi, Wis., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 in Terre Haute, Ind. He was born on Sept. 3, 1967 in Eldora, Iowa, the son of Diana (Andy) Dettinger and Larry Morris. Gary graduated from Lodi High School in 1987 and Wisconsin School of Electronics (Herzing) in 1989. He was an electrician for Railroad Signal Companies and most recently for R. J. Corman. Gary is survived by his mother, Diana (Andy) Dettinger; father, Larry Morris; brother, Greg (Jennifer); grandfather, Larry Mackey; nieces, Breanna Morris and Jaelynn Morris; nephews, Zachary Morris and Zaiden Morris; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vivian Mackey; grandparents, Frank and Evelyn Morris; and, step-grandparents, Mahlon and Auline Dettinger. Funeral services will be held at LAKE WISCONSIN EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, N1640 Ryan Rd, Lodi, at 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, with Pastor Scott Larson presiding. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the charity of your choice. I graduated with Gary in '87. Gary is one one of the few good memories I have of high school. In fact, I can say without a doubt that no one in our class could ever have a bad thing to say about him, and I can't think of anyone else more well liked. And for good reason, he was always sincerely kind to everyone. I'm so sorry for your loss, it's so unfair that such a wonderful person should pass so soon.
