Obituary
BARABOO-Edward G. Lybek, age 78, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. He was born on November 16, 1938, the son of Edward, Sr. and Lucy Lybek. Edward was a retired mechanic and Jack of all trades. He proudly served his country in the United State Army and was a member of the American Legion Post # 187 of Wisconsin Dells. Edward recently participated in the Honor Flight to Washington accompanied by his nephew Jeff. He loved hunting and fishing and was also a member of the Badger Steam & Gas Engine Club. Edward is survived by two daughters, Rita Murphy-Lybek and Jackie Lybek; two grandchildren; two sisters Fran Frosch, DeForest and Grace Schlimgen, Barneveld and a special friend, Tom Potter. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward, Sr., and Lucy Lybek; a brother Robert Lybek and a sister Virginia Schwieger. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton at 11 AM on Thursday, October 12, 2017. In lieu of gifts or flowers any donations are requested to be made to the American Legion # 187 in Wisconsin Dells, Wis. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
