To all of Virginia's family, know that you all have my deepest condolences at the loss of your wonderful sister. I knew Virginia for many years, meeting her for the first time when she was assigned to the school at a parish in Janesville. I met her because my Dad wanted to see his cousin whom he had not seen in many years. My Dad, Eugene Goldade (AKA Gene, but known to most friends and family as YATCH). We visited her one Sunday in the school because we were not allowed inside the convent. Over the years, the family stayed in contact. After we helped her move from the eastside of Madison to Verona when she taught at St. John's, Virginia and I started to be in contact more. We exchange Christmas cards and letters for years, as well seeing each other at Goldade family gatherings. After her 8 years working at Sinsunawa when she moved back to the Madison area, I found out she live less than 2 miles from me, so our contact increased, regular phone calls, I would visit her when time permitted, and I started picking her up for family events at my parents. Dad was always happy to see her, and she enjoyed getting away. I will really miss her. I did not get to know too many of the immediate family as we moved to Wisconsin when I was 3, but we visited regularly to Aberdeen, and I did get to know some. Of course, Aunt Kate, your Mom, my Grandma's sister. Then Rosie and her husband Wally, Marie, and maybe Vera. Sorry I was unable to attend her services. I just had back surgery and was not able to handle getting around that day. I would have love to met more of Virginia's family. Actually part of my family too. We will all miss this wonderful individual. 💔
