MADISON/JANESVILLE – Beverly Ann (Reinke) Mink of Madison, Wis., formerly of Janesville, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Oakwood Village – University Woods in Madison, with loving family nearby. She was born July 11, 1938, in Madison, the daughter of Benhardt G. and Elsie J. (Brockmann) Reinke. A graduate of Madison East High School, Beverly married the love of her life, Gerald G. “Jerry” Mink, on April 6, 1957, in Madison. She and Jerry raised their family in Madison, Monroe, Fort Atkinson, and Janesville. She was proudest of her work on “Century of Stories: A 100 Year Reflection of Janesville and Surrounding Communities,” with author, Mike DuPre’. She was a longtime member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Janesville, Wis., and served as Second Reader for a time, a role she cherished.Beverly loved to read -- often three books at a time as well as a daily newspaper. Her extensive book collection showed her diverse interests -- religion, history, science, sports and entertainment. Singing was another passion, and she was known to her family and caregivers as a walking songbook. As a child, she played the accordion, and as an adult enjoyed her organ. She crocheted, producing luxurious afghans for loved ones. She was a devoted baseball and football fan, enjoying the Cubs, Brewers, Badgers and Green Bay Packers.Survivors include her children, Deborah Mink; Pamela (Jay) Trumbower; Mary (Frederick Matt) Mink; and Ronald (Bonnie) Mink; her brothers Roger, Kenneth, and Joe Reinke; grandchildren Jenna (Kevin) Block, Alyssa Trumbower, and Adam Trumbower; Chelssey (Caleb) Klenko, Joshua (Margaret), Aaron (Emily), Brandon Mink, and Cameron Mink; great-granddaughter Hannah Klenko; many precious nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bev and Jerry were my next door neighbor for 17 years, best neighbors you could ever ask for. They treated my two girls like their own grandchildren. Their three daughters are close in age to myself and we treat each other like brother and sisters. With their daughters living out of town, we would have them over for Christmas until they could make it down for their own time with them. We shared many laughs and good times together. Bev and Jerry are in many chapters of my life and are loved and missed greatly. Jeff Haines

Sorry to read of your mom's recent passing. We remember Beverly from the church in Janesville. She was certainly an asset to the congregation. What a lively quote to end her obituary with. Conn & Shari Huffaker

I was sad to read about Beverly's passing. I got to know Beverly during her stay at Oakwood Village Covenant Oaks. I enjoyed visiting with Beverly and Mary on Sunday mornings when I was there to visit my mother, Eleanor. My thoughts are with your family during this difficult time.
