Obituary
MADISON-Doris B. Ryan, age 84, of Madison passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on May 23, 1933, in Center Township, the daughter of Martin and Elsie (Gerber) Ballmer. Doris married Vincent Ryan on Sept. 7, 1959, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Madison. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for several accounting firms. After retirement, Doris volunteered for the Red Cross for many years. She was an excellent bowler, an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. Doris is survived by four daughters; Cheryl (Gregg) Vosswinkel, Lynn (Paul) Basler, Diane Ryan (John Chudy), and Joan (Tom) Dollak; grandchildren, Matthew Basler, Adam (Brittney) Basler, Emilie (Kyle) Mondy, Gerhard Vosswinkel, Kayla Dollak, Ryan Dollak, Lindsey Paquin, and Jake Paquin; great-grandchildren, Logan Basler and Zoee Collins; sister, Betty (Marty) Critchley; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim Ryan, Mary Ann Myers, Monica Brattlie, Colleen (Mac) McCormick, Dee (Don) Williams, and Betty Ryan, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years; her parents; and her sister, Myrtle Ballmer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, with Fr. Randy Timmerman presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, and also at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Memorials may be made to St. Dennis Catholic Church and Agrace HospiceCare.
