Obituary

MADISON-Laura Marie Oleniczak died peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, in Madison, Wis., at the age of 65.  Laura is survived by Michael Oleniczak of Houston, Texas, Rebecca Jarrell (Oleniczak) of Madison, Joseph Oleniczak of Austin, Texas, David Oleniczak of Monona, Thomas Oleniczak of Dallas, Texas, Rosemary Horne (Shrank) and Nancy Dean of Milwaukee, and Barbara Krueger (Dean) of Milwaukee.  She was preceded in death by Daniel Oleniczak of Mukwonago.  Laura was born on April 29, 1952, in Milwaukee, to Lorraine and John Dean. She graduated from Saint John's Cathedral.  She married Michael Oleniczak, her high school sweetheart and devoted husband on Oct. 26, 1974. Laura, a devoted wife and wonderful mother, will always be remembered for her incredible and nurturing soul, having a personality which would light up a room and her ability to get along with, understand and appreciate people from all walks of life.  Her love for Michael was unwavering and she shared the same love with her children.  The family bond and traditions she created with her family and innate ability to make everyone around her a better person is only part of her legacy.  A funeral is scheduled on Saturday, Sept.30, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Laura's life. She will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin, Wis.  In lieu of sending flowers or making donations, we kindly suggest that you honor Laura's spirit by always remembering to take care of your family, friends and neighbors with an open heart and an open mind.

Mike and family, I'm so sorry to here of Laura's passing. She was such an amazing person. You shared so much wisdom and advice on raising my children and always gave the credit to Laura which was so sweet. Her legacy and memory will always be reflected in your wonderful family.
