Betty A. Heckendorn

MOUNT HOREB - Betty Ann (Engnath) Heckendorn passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Ingleside Manor. Betty was born on August 23, 1935, to Frank & Lois (Thorne) Engnath. She grew up in the Wisconsin Dells area. Betty met Bob Heckendorn in high school and they became sweethearts. Betty and Bob were married January 10, 1953. Betty and Bob moved to Monona in 1959 to raise their family. Betty worked in the school system while the kids attended school and had summers off with the kids. Betty also worked in the insurance industry as a claims coder in Monona and as a receptionist when she and Bob moved to the Edgerton area. Just before her retirement Betty worked as a receptionist for a doctor's office. Betty is survived by two daughters, Cindae (Dennis) Dignan and Penny Barman; one son, David (Ann) Heckendorn; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jeff (Leigh) Ellingson - Quintin, Jackson & Addison; Scott (Tracy) Ellingson - Spencer & Madigan; Krista (Chris) Yeomans - Max & Cade; Karl (Connie) Dignan - Ethan & Sullivan; Lisa (Ben) McMullan - Nika, Sage & Isolde; Teri Barman - Keegan Kendricks; Brian (Shannon) Barman - Mya & Max; Janelle Van Erem - Jessa; and Brock Heckendorn. Betty was proceeded in death by her parents and husband. Private services will be held for the family only.
