Obituary
MADISON - Lorin Elton Larson, age 76, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at UW Hospital. He was born on May 18, 1945, in Racine, Wis., the son of Layton and Eleanor (Bernhagen) Larson.
Lorin was a remarkable man, who overcame many disabilities and was a great asset to the community. He always had a smile on his face and was very dedicated to his job in food service at UW Hospital - where he worked for about 47 years before retiring.
Lorin was very proud of being independent in his own condo in the community, living with his best friends, Mike and Rosie, for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his roommates and cat, Molly. Lorin also enjoyed taking a variety of bus trips, day trips, and even a dinner cruise, traveling to the Dells, Racine, Door County, and Milwaukee. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and he loved listening to music and watching old TV shows, Law and Order, doctor shows and many more.
Lorin is survived by his brothers, Michael Thomas, Randall (Karen) Larson and Larry (Lisa) Larson; sisters, Judy Walker, Cindy Soter, Carol Kost, Laona Larson and Lorraine (Jerry) Sternadel; sisters-in-law, Susan Larson and Wendey Larson; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ramona (Otto) Emerson and Layene (John) Heck; brothers, Wendell Larson and Clare Larson; sister-in-law, Patricia Thomas; and brothers-in-law, Brent Walker and Dave Soter.
A celebration of life will be held at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
