MADISON -Kathryn “Kittie” Endres, age 88, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at Heritage Monona. She was born on Jan. 31, 1929, in Spring Green, the daughter of William and Caroline (Peterson) McCabe. After high school, Kittie moved to Madison and started working for Dean Clinic. Over the years, she helped several patients, doctors and fellow employees, many who would become friends. Kittie retired in 1989, after 38 years of service. During her retirement, she enjoyed travels with her husband and friends, going for coffee with friends and volunteering at Olbrich Garden. Kittie is survived by her husband, Charles Endres; and sons, Douglas (Marsha) Endres and David Endres. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, with Fr. Jay Poster and Fr. Michael Radowicz presiding. Private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kittie’s memory may be made to Olbrich Gardens. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their care over the last few months and a very special thank you to the staff at Heritage Monona for their loving care and support during the time Kittie spent with them as a resident.

Loved my time spent with Kittie in Wautoma. And she always gave my girls chocolate rocks and ornaments for Christmas which they still remember. She was a wonderful and kindhearted person. Godspeed Kittie,
