Obituary

STOUGHTON/COTTAGE GROVE-Tamara Lee “Tami” Hall, age 59, of Stoughton, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at UW Hospital, after a courageous battle with illness.  She was born on May 24, 1958, in Madison, the daughter of Orville and Janice (Davis) Hall. Tami was a jack of all trades, but her passion and heart was working for Mycogen Plant Sciences as a horticulturist, where she met some of her fondest friends and grew her love for gardening. Tami loved animals, especially her horse, Sandy, her blue and gold Macaw, Chico and her cats, Fuzzy, Bad Kitty and Dexter.  She enjoyed living on her farm in Cottage Grove where she had tended to her chickens. She had a kind heart and was often known to nurse animals back to health.  Tami enjoyed fishing, reading, cooking, canning, baking and especially spending time with family, particularly her grandchildren.  She was quick-witted, always had a smile on her face and was very giving. She loved to and took pride in running Alex's lemonade stand and Santa’s workshop.  Tami is survived by daughters, Vanessa Thayer (Shaun), Tara Thayer (DJ) and Melissa Thayer (James); four granddaughters, Abby Brouillet, Emma Brouillet, Jaelyn Vultaggio and Aunalee Vultaggio; grandson, Isaiah Brouillet; brother, Greg (Sharon) Hall; her Boyfriend, Scott Schultz; best friend, Jackie; and many other close friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her close friend, Pam.  A celebration of Tami's life will be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com. Gunderson EastFuneral & Cremation Care5203 Monona Drive608-221-5420

A truly beautiful lady, she was like a mother to me. I remember when she had bought fake lottery tickets and gave me one. I won a million dollars, only catch I had to cash it in at the North pole with Santa Claus. 😂 she felt bad about it, because I was so willing to share the winnings with them. It was really very funny, once I got over the realization we didn't win lol. Another great memory was the first time I went to her farm house in Cottage Grove and the bird greeted me. Have you had a conversation with a bird before? Ha. I did, and the bird invited me in the house for me to find Tami asking who I was and what I was doing in her house. I said the bird invited me in😂
