MADISON-Isela Gomez Cook, age 45, of Madison, passed away on Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at Agrace HopiceCare. She was born on Feb. 2, 1972, in Tijuana, Mexico, the daughter of Alberto Gomez and Elizabeth Turgeon. Isela was a cosmetologist and business owner of the Millennium Salon. She was also a jewelry artist. Isela loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was true to her faith in the Lord and never gave up the fight. Isela is survived by her daughter, Isabella Cook; sons, Brandon Stull and Samuel Southward; brothers, Vincent Amador and Albert E. Gomez; sisters, Debbie Amador Peterson and Cynthia Grimm; nephews, Arron Amador, Evan Amador, Hal Benson and Oliver Gomez; nieces, Elizabeth Laubmayer, Jessica Clapperton and Paris Gomez; and a spiritual sister, Michelle Nimmo. A Celebration of Isela’s Life will be held at 4007 EAU CLAIRE RD., AFTON, WI, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a fund to be set up for her children’s education. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

I'm so sorry to hear that Isela has passed away. She was my hair stylist at Millenium Salon for several years. I always enjoyed chatting with her. RIP lovely lady.

I'm so sorry to about Isela's passing. I was one of her instructors in beauty school and she made such an impression on me. She was a natural talent and always smiling and happy! I never had the opportunity to really know her personally but I remember her being a shining light. I hope her family is able to find some peace some day. My deepest sympathies to all who knew her.
