Obituary
MONTELLO/MADISON-Roy P. Baxter, age 85, of Montello, passed away on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017. He was born on April 26, 1932, in Sun Prairie. He married Velma Keller on Feb 9, 1951. She preceded him in death in 2011. Roy was employed as a meat cutter for Oscar Mayer until his retirement. He had a variety of interests including gardening, hunting, fishing and woodworking but enjoyed most spending time with his family. Roy is survived by his children, Stan, Teresa and Ron (Jill); two grandchildren, Abigayle and Benjamin Baxter; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Kaul and Betty Keller; sister, Paulette Bennett; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, with the Rev. Jeff Vanden Heuvel presiding. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
