MADISON/ SHULLSBURG-Martha Hodge, age 74, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017. She was born on Dec. 16, 1942, in Shullsburg, the daughter of Harry and Doris (Matl) Hodge. Martha graduated from Shullsburg High School in 1961. She was a licensed practical nurse for 35 years. Outside of work, Martha had a talent for finding and researching valuable collectibles and loved to search through antique stores for treasures. Martha is survived by her sister, Jean Hodge; and brother, Jim Hodge. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to the UW- Carbone Cancer Center. I have fond memories of Martha and our friendship dating back to grade school which also included being next door neighbors, Brownie Scouts, Sunday School and Madison roommates in early 1960s. Martha was a proud and caring nurse. Condolences to Jean and Jim.
