So sorry to hear about Tom passing, He was always there if someone needed help, and he had quite the sense of humor ,I really enjoy seeing and talking to Tom always. He will be greatly missed. He was always so proud of his family and of course Joanne how her honey do list kept grown and it was hard to catch up on all the things, but it kept him out of trouble.I I knew Tom when he was a detective on the police force ,you always knew you could talk to him about any thing and he would keep it to himself if you asked him to. Having him in my husband karate class [ex husband,Bill Ring] was pretty nice he was so fun to be around. God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Chris Brickl

I am so sorry to hear about Tom, I have not seen him for some time and just the other day I was near Olbrich Park and I said to myself that "I have to get over and see him", I wish I had done it right then. I was on the PD with Tom and we became very good friends and competitors. Tom was twelve years my senior, yet when I started running he would beat me consistently in the many races we competed in. He was very much my coach and after several years of training with him I was finally able to beat him, He never let me forget the many times he beat me and he always reminded me that he was "a lot older" than me when I finally did beat him. We ran together for 20 years and in spite of our competitiveness, we became great friends and I will always consider him one of my best. I could tell stories for hours about the times I have spent with Tom and suffice it to say, I will never forget him ..........Vic Lambrecht
