MADISON- Angela Dee Rusu, age 54, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017. She was born on July 20, 1963, in Gratiot, Wis., the daughter of John and Shirley (Filer) Sargent.She was united in marriage to Jeffrey Rusu on June 23, 1984. Angela was a beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She served as a pastor at City Church with a deep love of God, a passion for prayer and freedom for women. She had a beautiful singing voice and a heart for worship that touched many lives. Angela is survived by her father; her loving husband, Jeffrey Rusu; daughter, Stephanie (Beau) Martin; son, Christopher (Leah Rae) Rusu; three grandchildren, Moses Martin, Adalei Martin and Charlotte Rusu; and two Siblings, John Sargent, and Jamie (Nes) Coburn. She was preceded in death by her mother; and grandmother, Evelyn "Gigi" Filer. A memorial service will be held at CITY CHURCH, 4909 E Buckeye Rd., Madison, at 6:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, with Pastor Tom Flaherty presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Angie was a dear friend we were in youth group together I remember spending the night at her house. Having a slumber party at Church. Angie was a caring friend and she had a great sense of adventure. She had an amazing laugh. She was amazing in every way. My thoughts and prayers are with Jeff and Stephanie and Chris and their families.

I would like to express my deepest love and appreciation for having Angela as my most favorite cousin and friend. She always will be. Reflecting on all the joys shared through the years - the laughter and fun together have always been cherished memories. No words can describe the value and love experienced and I look forward to the continued life eternal with my dear cousin.

Dear Rusu family: Jesus is a man of sorrows and
acquainted with grief Isaiah 53:3, lean on Him! Thank you for your tender loving care of your Mom and wife. I'm so grateful to have known your Mom. I'm looking forward to seeing her again. I can't say enough about Angie's humble servants heart. I'm so thankful for all the time I was able to be in her presence.

Angie was one of the first people I met and shared worship with. My fondest memories we're our churches trip to Wilmington. Her, Jeff, Brian and myself shared a van there and back. We had such a good talk and laughs.
