BELOIT/STOUGHTON-Kyle William Monroe, age 25, of Beloit, lost his struggle with heroin addiction on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at his residence in Beloit. He was born on Dec. 27, 1991, in Neenah, the son of Deborah Skjolaas and Martin Monroe. Kyle enjoyed working with his friends/co-workers at SSI Technology. Kyle is survived by his parents; two brothers, Alex and Cody Monroe; maternal grandparents, Merle and Virginia Skjolaas; paternal grandfather, Jim Monroe; two aunts, Diane (Ronnie) Ansley and Deanna Skjolaas-Garcia; uncle, Doug (Sue) Skjolaas; eight cousins, Brandon, Cortney, Jack and Anna Garcia, James and Ben Amera and Mary and Andy Skjolaas; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sandy Monroe. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 1358 Hwy. 51 North at Jackson St., Stoughton, at 11 a.m., on Friday Aug. 18, 2017. A lunch, celebrating Kyle’s life, will follow the service at ROCKDALE BAR & GRILL, 222 Water St., Rockdale. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. I remember your smile :) we had a lot of laughs and so much fun at A.F.R. I remember karaoke nights at A.F.R. It was a blast. You were so sweet and kind. You had a heart of gold. I first met kyle my senior year of high school we got partnered up together in auto class and we were buds ever since. Every time i was around him i was always laughing. There was never a dull moment. Rest in peace my friend. I will never forget you! My condolences to his family.
