Robert A. Breiby

MADISON—Robert Alfred “Bob” Breiby, age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2017.  He was born on March 9, 1933, to Alfred and Dorothy Breiby. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  He was married to Audrey Replinger on April 2, 1955 in Madison. Bob worked as an electrical contractor owning his own business, Accurate Electric.  Later, he worked for Hill Electric until his retirement.  He was a member of the Madison ELKS Club and the East Side Businessmen’s Association (ESBMA).  Bob loved traveling, playing golf, putting together puzzles, spending time with his family and John Wayne. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Audrey; daughter, Sandra (Darrell) Egner; sons, David (Sue) Breiby and Daniel (Andrea) Breiby; and brother, Jerry (Ann) Breiby. He is further survived by grandchildren Jason Egner, Jamie (Jeffrey) Kjelland, Nicole (Josh) Schulenburg, Chad Breiby, Joe (Katie) Solem, TJ Breiby and Courtney Breiby; as well as great grandchildren, Isabella and Grace Kjelland and Lucas and Braden Schulenburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard; and beloved dog, Cody. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., on Tuesday, July 18, 2017.  Per Bob’s wishes a private burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob’s name may be made to the Waisman Center for Parkinson’s Research.
