Obituary
MADISON-Norbert Flatoff, age 70, of Madison, passed away at home on Monday, June 26, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on Jan. 28, 1947, in Stevens Point, the son of Lewis and Katherine (Sniadajewski) Flatoff. Norbert served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Air Force. During this time, he met his future bride Prayoon "Lex", they married April 28, 1969 in Thailand. Upon his return, they had four wonderful children. Norbert served with distinction for the Madison Police Department for 28 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, reading, audio books, witty banter, the Green Bay Packers, baseball, movies and traveling. Norbert is survived by his wife, Prayoon; children, Sandi (Michael) McLeod, Michael (Michelle) Flatoff, Daniel (Lori) Flatoff and Alex Flatoff; grandchildren, Bryanna (Austin) Cure, Logan Hole, Zander, Aiden, Dirk and Christian Flatoff; great-granddaughter, Seralyn Cure; sisters, Joanne Haas, Grace (Jim) Harter and Elizabeth (Tom) Havlovick; brothers, Ernie (Jan) Flatoff and Mark (Darlene) Flatoff; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd, Madison, at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017, with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 2 p.m. until the time of the Mass on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Bonnie & I are so sorry to hear of Norb's passing. Norb was my training officer & I will always remember my time with him fondly(although he may may not have said the same). He may be gone but he will not be forgotten. Our deepest sympathies go out to you & your family.
