Obituary
POYNETTE-June L. Rowe, age 90, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. She was born in Milwaukee, the daughter of Emil and Elsie (Sernau) Zibell. June met the love of her life, her husband Arthur “Bud” in their hometown, Milwaukee. They were married when he returned from World War II and were together for 67 years. June spent her life nurturing her family and those around her with love and kindness. She had an amazing smile and spirit. June enjoyed traveling adventures with her husband and family. She was a fabulous cook and baker. Whenever family or friends came to visit, June always had something delicious waiting for them to eat. She enjoyed reading, music, listening and watching the birds and tending to her flower garden. June is survived by her daughter, Gail (Bobby) Austin; grandchildren, Melissa (Todd) Gruber, John Weber, and Brian (Stephanie) Weber; great-grandchildren, Rikki, Haley, Samuel, and twins, Mara and Kaylin; great-great-grandchildren, Thomas and Lillian; daughter-in-law, Suzie Fern Rowe; and nephews and nieces, William (Diane) Zibell, Tom (Ruthann) Zibell, Jerry (Sheri) Zibell, Michael (Karen) Meader, Allen (Cindy) Meader, Lynda Meader, William (Joan) Rowe, and Nancy Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; son, Richard; sister, Ruth; and brothers, Harvey and Al. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 2950 Chapel Valley Rd., Fitchburg at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Burial will follow at Verona Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. The family wishes to thank June and Arthur’s special neighbor friends, Abby and Colton Neabling for their loving care while June and Arthur lived at home in Poynette. June was a beautiful person inside and out. I hung out at their house a lot when I was a teenager and will never forget how kind she was to me. I will miss her.
