Obituary
WAUNAKEE - Brandon William Scheel, age 23, passed away on Wednesday, June, 21, 2017, at UW Hospital TLC due to complications from severe asthma. He was born on June 16, 1994, in Madison, the son of William and Amy Scheel. Brandon graduated from Waunakee high school in 2012, and was enrolled in the Graphic Design program at Madison College. His dream was to combine his passion for music and love of art by creating music videos. He will always be remembered for his tender heart, his kind soul, his loyalty to friends and family, and his unique sense of humor. Brandon will forever remain in the hearts of his parents, Bill and Amy; his sister, Samantha, 21 (Logan Chrisman); his grandmothers, Eleanor Scheel and Martha Furimsky; uncle Andy and aunt Betty, aunt Eva and uncle Bruce, and uncle Edward; cousins, Valerie and Mike and their children Ryne, Maureen, and Michael; his beloved cat, Spirit; and many wonderful friends. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Wilbert Scheel and Andrew Furimsky. Our family would like to express sincere thanks to friends and family who extended their love and support during Brandon’s brief illness, and to the staff at UW Hospital for their extraordinary care. We did not get the miracle we hoped for, but Brandon’s compassion and selflessness may bring the miracle of life to others through the gift of organ donation. A private bedside blessing was held at UW TLC before the donation surgery. Those who wish to honor Brandon may contribute memorials to the Dane County Humane Society.
