Obituary
MADISON-Magdalena Goldade, age 89, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Oak Park Place. She was born on Sept. 25, 1927, in Ventura, N.D., the daughter of Philip and Catherine (Frison) Lacher. Magdalena was a member and chaplain of Ladies of the Moose, and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church for over 40 years, volunteering in many areas of the church. She worked as an LPN for St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, S.D. from 1950 - 1953. Magdalena met Eugene Goldade through Eugene's sister, Bernice while she was working at the hospital. They were united in marriage on May 21, 1953, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aberdeen, S.D. Magdalena enjoyed crocheting, collecting antiques and knick-knacks, dancing the polka, needlepoint, cooking, gardening, canning tomatoes, traveling, watching soap operas and helped to raise her grandkids and great-grandkids. After raising her family she went to work for McCrory's, East Towne. She loved spending time with her family and cooked dinner for them every Sunday. Magdalena is survived by her husband, Eugene; children, Katherine Goldade, Jo Ann (John) Terasa; Eugene (Ann Treu) Goldade, Bruce (Cathy Lee) Goldade, Sharon Goldade and Bryan (Gena) Goldade; grandchildren, Matthew (Jennifer) Terasa; Amanda (Craig) Johnson, Melissa Goldade, Jennifer Goldade, Samantha Goldade and Justin (Candice) Strack ; great-grandchildren, MaKenzie and Brielle Johnson, Anthony DeLucia and Michael Terasa, Jaiden and Brinley Strack; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Lacher and Clara Lacher; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Joseph (Kay), Eugene, Peter, Rose, Martha (Jack), Elizabeth (Clarence), Eva (Roy), Jacob, Sebastian and Matthew. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017, with Father Michael Radowicz presiding. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Agrace HospiceCare, 5395 E. Cheryl Pkwy., Fitchburg, WI 53711. To lose your mom and grandmom is to lose a very close and loyal friend who has known and loved all of you your entire lives. Mrs.Goldade was such a warm and wonderful neighbor. She always shared her produce with us from her garden and asked regularity about our disabled son, "how is your boy doing." She cared about others but also needed her moments away from the house. She raised beautifully caring children. Blessed be her memory. She would be happy to know the few items we all purchased from their estate sale are in use all the time, and we think of them fondly with every moment of use. Their bird bath proudly stands in front of our home, just as it did in front of theirs. Life events bring other lives together. Thank you.

Jo Ann Terasa & Family along with all the Goldade Family members, I was so sad to here of the passing of your Dear Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother! I will not be able to attend your Mother's Funeral as I will be out of town. Know that I am sending my loving thought and prayers to all of you during this time. She left all of you Special memories to cherish as you go forward with you lives and remember she is always looking over you!

Kathy and Family it is a truly sad time that you beloved mother has pass and gone. But with happiness knowing she is with our Father in Heaven. Lena will be missed and I know especially with our family as your parents have befriended my son Matthew. Both Parents have a special place in our hearts and prayers go out to you and you family in this time of sadness. Margaret and Kids will be attending the funeral and I will try to get there as I work at that time but know my thoughts are with you. May God ease your sorrow and bless your family.
