John always made sure everyone was comfortable in life. Whether a visit to his home, or taking care of his family, he was a very selfless man. It is sad to think he is gone but he left such a legacy nobody will forget. Rest in peace now John.

Back, I'd say around early 70's, as then neighbors to the family, our family got acquainted with your's as Mel , my dad built some of Bert & Mrs. then new home on Perry Lake, Telemark may have been the draw to Cable at the time with Perry Lake & other friends getting together up here as a nice bonus. More recently I got a call from John per Paul to talk about doing a few electrical upgrades to Aunt Ann's former cabin, we got together & talked about options, ideas, & of course that he'd let me know if I met all of the criteria needed… sharpen that pencil he said!!, think I too said, I'd also let him know if we'd choose to take on his project. Well ,yeah we kept it lighthearted, & reminisced a little more about the good ol days, John said they had been at the gun club & loved having his family there to enjoy the cabin & want to make it a little nicer for them to enjoy. John was great fun to be with when we grew up. He was always an accepting and tolerant person. He had a chuckle and laugh that always reminded me of his dad, Bert. They had many similar mannerisms. He had an Easy Rider poster before posters were cool. He was a cool guy! My deepest sympathy to all of John's family and friends. Ron Walsh, Eau Claire, WI

I had the pleasure of working with John on several projects thru the course of my career. He was someone I really enjoyed working with. Always willing to help find the right solution to my often complex challenges without over promising. Just an all around great guy. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to the family.
