Dear Everts--
Heartfelt sympathies to all. We cannot feel life's losses without first feeling the blessing of it's fullness. Ron was the kind of guy to live life to it's fullest. My dad told me several times that Ronnie wanted to live to be 100. He sure gave it a good try. Unfortunately we don't know the path that God has set out before us and Ron was called home before he met his goal. If we could keep going because of our inner will Ron would still be with us today. Praying for peace and comfort for all of you as you face the days ahead. Draw strength from the Lord....he is with you during the good times and the bad. Know that friends and family share your loss. Take comfort....one day we will all be reunited in eternity.

At this moment we want to share the sorrow that the past days have left us with. But, it is also very important to share the joy that we felt every time Ron and Gloria showed up at our front door no matter where the US Navy had sent us. They visited in Orlando, FL and took Patty and Jim back for their first of many returns to home, traveling in style in his camper. Later on were able to take a tour of a submarine in Groton, CT – Ron was very impressed with the emergency diesel engine in a nuclear sub. They also showed up in Monterey, CA and enjoyed the beautiful views of Carmel and Pebble Beach.
No matter where they visited, Ron always brought with him his energizing optimism and his real zest for life.
Like he always ended Gloria’s cards, we will “tip one up” for him!
With Love and Sympathy,
Patty and Jim Sumner

Sending love and hugs to Gloria and the entire family. Wish we could be there in person. I will always remember (Great) Uncle Ronnie as a fun-loving, photographer, and kind hearted true gentleman. He always made us kids laugh. May he rest in peace. Christina (Dibbert) & Audrey Turnbull
