OREGON - Robert Charles Weede, age 81, of Oregon, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026. He was born on May 30, 1944, in Shawano, the son of Harold Weede and Lorian (Kroll) Wichmann.
Robert grew up in Shawano and graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1962. On October 1, 1966, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Jean Ferguson, in Oregon. Their marriage lasted nearly 56 years, until her passing in 2022. He was a very devoted husband throughout their life together.
Robert spent many years in the shoe business, working for Ray’s Shoes in Watertown and later managing Ragatz in Madison. He also spent time working at the Alliant Energy Center, where he shared cool stories about the famous people he met along the way. Hard work came naturally to him, and he truly enjoyed every job he held. He cared deeply for the people he worked with, no matter the role or workplace.
A proud fan of both the Badgers and the Packers, Robert brought enthusiasm to everything he loved. He was also known for hosting lively cocktail gatherings, always ready to welcome friends and share good company.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Justin) Rhodes; grandchildren, Oliver Rhodes and Avi Rhodes; sister, Kerry (Pat) Hill; brother, Mark (Mary) Wichmann; and sister-in-law, Kay Bliefernicht. He was preceded in death by wife, Carolyn; parents, Harold and Lorian; and sister, Lori Connors.
A memorial service will be held at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 625 E. Netherwood St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
