SUN PRAIRIE- Susan A. Setterlund, age 75, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. She was born on May 10, 1942, in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Merton and Helen Miler. Susan was united in marriage to Bernard “Bernie” Setterlund on August 11, 1964. Sue earned her degree in education from Minnesota State University Mankato. She taught at several Wisconsin school districts and served on the school board for Poynette School. Sue also worked at the United Methodist Conference Center, served as a delegate to several United Methodist General and Jurisdictional Conferences and served as President of the United Methodist Women. Along with her husband Bernie, she served on the churches of Dallas/Hillsdale/Richland, Elmwood/Rock Elm, Darien/Sharon, Denmark/Mishicot, Arlington/North Windsor, Frederic/Lorain, and Durand/Arkansaw/Eau Galle churches. Sue is survived by a son, Marc and his children Megan and Joseph Setterlund; a daughter Melissa “Missy” (William) Howard and her daughter Carley Olson and a brother Gary (Norma) Miler. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bernie in 2007. A Celebration of Sue’s Life will be held at SUN PRAIRIE UNITED METHODIST CHIURCH, 702 North Street, Sun Prairie at 11 a.m. on Saturday June 24, 2017. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. I met Sue through Bill and Missy. Bill is my Brother and our Mom and Sue were roommates for a few years. She loved to see my kids and grandkids. I enjoyed visiting with her and so appreciated her care and worry over my Momma. I wont forget the tears we shared when Mom left to move in with Bill and Missy. I know she is so much happier in heaven. Rest easy Sue. Rest easy...
