LAKE WISCONSIN-Brook April Carey, age 37, placed herself in the arms of the Angels, May 22, 2017 and finally found the peace she long sought. She was born on April 7, 1980 in Madison, the daughter of Scott and Dawn (Best) Carey. Brooke was a firecracker in life always doing something, whether it was helping others or animals, and spending time with her family and friends. She was so talented in whatever she set her mind to. Brooke is survived by her three beautiful children, Carson, Eagan and Jenna; mother, Dawn (Tony) Best; father, Scott (Barbara) Carey; stepfather, John Waide; best friend and brother, Nickolas Carey; aunts, Teri Duane and Barbara (Allen) Ericsson; maternal grandmother, Patricia Duffy; paternal grandmother, Janet Perrin; great aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends she loved. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William Best; and paternal grandfather, William Carey. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at REMI’S THIRSTY MOOSE, N3135 County Road V, Poynette from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. My first memory of Brooke was when she was little. She was so feisty! She said "who are you?" I said "your dad's friend". She said well " I wear jellies and mascara" and stomped off. .... Ok then, I had a tough sale ahead of me to make a friend. but the trouble was worth all of it.

I only met you a couple times in passing but you were full of smiles! you leave behind a dear friend that I meet in the bp in Poynette that was so dear to your heart!
