Ruth Schneider

MONONA-Ruth Schneider, age 92, of Monona, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Heritage in Monona. She was born on Aug. 10, 1924, in Hillsboro, Wis. She married Edward Schneider on Nov. 25, 1950. She was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and St. Anne's Society. Ruth enjoyed gardening and loved music. Ruth was a Badger and Cubs fan. Ruth is survived by three daughters, Sandi Phillips, Sue (Gene) Lloyd and Karin (Jeff) Keyes; three sons, Kevin, Steve and Jon (Kristi); seven grandchildren, Kate (Matt) Wipperman, Stephanie Scheel, Jameson (Allison) Scheel, Allie (Zach) Miskie, Staci (Fiance Stosh Blaszkowski) Schneider, Kelli Schneider, Devin Schneider; sister, Margaret Teed. She was preceded in death by husband, Edward. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday May 24, 2017, with Father Chad Droessler presiding. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, and also from 12 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
