Obituary

OREGON- Marilyn J. (Albrecht) Krebs-Zubrod, age 77, of Oregon, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Agrace HospiceCare with family by her side. She was born in Burlington, Wis., the daughter of Betsy Ross Stardy and Walter Albert Albrecht. Marilyn married Thomas Wilson Krebs on Feb. 14, 1959, in Waukesha. After Tom passed away Marilyn married Richard E. Zubrod on March 28, 2009 in Mukwonago, Wis. Marilyn always gave of her time and talent to family and friends. She was an avid quilter, enjoyed planting flowers, and cooking. But, most of all, she loved taking care of her grandchildren. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Dick; daughters, Brenda (Roly) Henkel, Betsy (Larry) McGuire, Rebecca (Tim) Higgins, Bonnie (Tim) Bartha and Beth (James) Smith; grandchildren, Jhon, Becca, Allie, Steph, Megan, Patrick, Mason, Maxwell, Joey, Ben, Thomas, and Teagan; great-grandchildren, Makenda and Michael; siblings Wally, Bill, Karen and Steve; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; and her parents. Funeral services will be held at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 625 E. Netherwood, Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, with the Rev. Paul Marquart presiding. Burial will be at Graves Cemetery after the service. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare or ALS Association Wisconsin Chapter.
