Chadwick, Louise M.
MADISON-Louise M. Chadwick, age 91, of Madison, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017. She was born on April 27, 1926, in Viroqua, Wis., the daughter of Alfred C. and Lauretta (LaPage) Jacobson. She married William H. Chadwick on June 26, 1948, in Viroqua. Louise graduated from Viroqua High School and Vernon County Teacher's College. She worked at Heritage Credit Union and Central Wisconsin Center for 20 years each and also at Community Christian Church for many years. Louise loved to crochet and knit afghans and word search puzzles. Louise is survived by her daughter, Priscilla (Tony) Jarona; three sons, William H. Chadwick IV, Michael Chadwick and Ronald (Jeanne Laufenberg) Chadwick; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; brother, Fred Jacobson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, William in June, 1967. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2017, with Pastor Bob Lawrence presiding. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Memorials may be made to Community Christian Church.

Mrs. Chadwick was my Sunday school teacher at First Christian Church when I was in fourth or fifth grade, I think. I was often the only or one of two or three kids in the class. I remember very well that she made us feel like we weren't just little kids who needed stories anymore, but we could understand the Bible for ourselves. She has been a huge encouragement to me as I've served overseas for the last 20+ years, always welcoming me back to Madison with a big hug. I'll miss her much and look forward to the day I receive her hug again in heaven! My sympathy and prayers to the whole family!

Don and Georgia Blackburn: I was in Argentina when I heard of Aunt Lewey's passing. I always appreciated her energy and zest for life. She was a special lady and will be missed by so many!!!
