Ralph Powers

MADISON-Ralph Allan Powers, age 84, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at University Hospital. He was born on Nov. 1, 1932, in Norway Grove, Wis., the son of Irene (Powers) Lovick. Ralph married Carol (Skuldt) Powers on Sept. 22, 1956. He served in the U. S. Army from 1951 to 1953. Ralph was employed as a bartender at the Buckeye Inn, he owned his own business, The Factory Outlet, on Gorham St., and was in retail sales for Sears, Arlend's and Goodwill. He was a huge Packer fan and enjoyed watching and cheering on the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. Ralph especially enjoyed the time spent with his family and friends. Ralph is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Corry Powers; brother, Robert; and sisters, Connie and Debra. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene; three brothers; and three sisters. Graveside services with military honors will be held at FOREST HILL CEMETERY, 1 Speedway Rd., Madison, at 1:00 pm on Tuesday May 23, 2017, with Chaplain Steve Zwettler presiding.
