Carl Jon Morrison

MADISON- Carl Jon "Big Baby" Morrison, age 35, from Madison, passed away unexpectedly from acute pancreas failure on Saturday May 13, 2017, while in Larose, Louisiana, doing what he loved, traveling with the carnival, Calkins Midways. He was born Aug. 19, 1981, in Madison, to Sam and Lori (Rux) Morrison. Carl graduated from Madison East High School. He was a kind, loving, friendly and very funny person, but when he was mad, watch out! Carl's truest loves were his family (both home and carnival), friends and animals (especially pit bulls). He enjoyed walking through the Humane Society, playing video games and going to bingo. Carl also enjoyed hanging out with his friends, Joe Kluever and Felicia Stanton. He was a huge Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed a Jack and Coke a few times a year. Carl is survived by his parents, Sam and Lori (Rux) Morrison; step-mother, Trudy; siblings, Maurita and her children, Larry, Lariauna and LaVon; Michael (Nicki) and their children, Samarah and Daylin; William and his child, Justice; Stephanie and her children, Donte and Janiyah; Tony and his children, Tony Jr., Liam and Silas; Elizabeth and her child, Kayden; Patrick and his child, Brooklyn; and his sister-in-law, Amber. He is further survived by his on the road family, Chuck, Ms. Lynn Waterman and the Teegarden family; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his favorite uncle, Isacc Jackson Sr.; and many other family members. A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.
