Sandra LaRue Moran

MADISON-Sandra “Sassy” Moran (so named by her co-workers for her wit, honesty and charm) left this world for new adventures on Monday, July 3, 2017, at dusk.  Sandy was born on Dec. 17, 1953, in Goldsboro, N.C., the daughter of Elton and Sylvia (Wilkins) Earp.  She married her sweetie, Gene and they settled in Madison to raise their two kids (and her husband!).  At the age of 40, she proudly earned her HSED.  Sandy will be deeply missed by her husband of 42 years, Gene; son, Michael (Shannon) Moran; daughter, Colleen (Iain) Parsons; and a host of other family and friends who loved her dearly.  Per Sandy’s wishes, there will be no funeral.  She already had a big party to celebrate her life, attended by over a hundred people who loved her.  Memorials may be made in her name as a donation to the UW Carbone Cancer Center, who worked hard to keep her with us as long as possible, or the Dane County Humane Society.  Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
