MADISON-Nancy Marie Buhler, age 63, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at her home. She was born on Oct. 10, 1953, in Colorado Springs, Colo. Nancy graduated from Madison East High School in 1971. She was employed with the State of Wisconsin - Bureau of Public Health for many years. Nancy had a variety of interests, but loved most the time spent with her grandchildren. Nancy is survived by her mother, Greta Meyer; two sons, Adam and Matthew Buhler; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, William Irvin; step-father, Duane "Duke" Meyer; her brother, William Irvin; and her sister, Laura Irvin. In honor of Nancy's wishes no services will be held. Greta, Adam and Matt,,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother and daughter, Nancy. Boy do I have a lot of wonderful memories; as we met when we both were in grade school and lived on Drewry Lane. Over the past several years we had not been in contact, however, my heart is very heavy and I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Sad to hear that Nancy is no longer with us.I just wrote out a message that I don't know if it was sent? My thoughts and prayers our with you all and especially Greta as I know that they were very close. It's been over 15 years that I last saw Nancy ,but you don't ever get away from the bond that was shared between us as friends. I never held any ill will toward her whatsoever. So very sorry to hear of the passing of Nancy. We went to Jr. high at Gompers together and East High School. I have not seen Nancy for about 3 years now. Last time we got together it was like we were back in school again. Please take care of yourselves and know many of us are thinking of you.

I am truly saddened to learn of Nancy's passing. I worked closely with her at the Division of Public Health's Southern Regional Office and will never forget how much fun she brought to her work. She taught me how to maneuver the complex maze of governmental bureaucracy and kept me out of trouble. She will be sorely missed. May her family find solace in the many happy memories of Nancy's life.
