MADISON/SUN PRAIRIE-Loretta E. Borman, age 80, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Meriter Hospital. She was born on July 27, 1936, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Randall and Adeline (Donda) Rogers. Loretta married Eugene Borman on June 7, 1958. She was a member of Zoology society and Humane society. Loretta was a loving wife and loyal mother. She loved animals, especially cats. Loretta enjoyed reading, playing board games, card games, doing puzzles, and listening to music. She was entertaining and loved to be goofy. Loretta loved spending time with her family and cherished the time she spent with them,especially at Christmas. Loretta is survived by her daughters, Kelly (Jeff Melvin) Borman and Patsy (Daniel) Maxwell. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Eugene Borman. Per Loretta's wishes no funeral services will held. Memorials may be gifted in Loretta's name to the Dane County Humane Society. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

I was sorry to read about Loretta's death, Kelly and Patsy. I have such good memories of your mom when she was dating your dad. She often stayed with my parents, sleeping on the Bauhs couch on West Lawn Avenue. I spent many Saturday mornings in the kitchen, having your mom cut my hair while my dad teased Eugene about being in love! She was happy and kind to all of us Bauhs kids. I looked forward to seeing her at the Borman reunions during the summer. It was fun to share old memories and hear her laugh again. I am so sorry for your loss. Take good care of each other. Aunt Loretta was one of my favorite people. I always felt she saw me for who I was, flaws and all, but loved me all the same, never judging. Always accepting. She had that laugh that always made you feel included, it was infectious. She brightened every room with her boisterous enthusiasm. It was a privilege to know her and an honor to be loved by her. Patsy and Kelly, I am so sorry for your loss. Know she lives on in everyone who knew her.

Our family will miss Loretta so very much. We have shared laughter and tears over many years. She enjoyed our Christmas-times and Birthdays with all of the family. I'll never forget the time we headed for Albany for lunch and ended up in Footville. She took Gene's place winning all the Bingo prizes at Christmas and laughed all the while.....Yes, we'll all miss her "Very Much".
