James J Prem

WAUNAKEE/LODI-James Joseph Prem, age 62, of Waunakee, passed away unexpectedly due to a work related incident Monday, April 3, 2017. He was born on May 15, 1954 in Sauk County, Wisc., the son of John and Mathilda (Kelley) Prem. Jim was a life-long Lodi resident through his school years. He loved fishing, hunting, Western movies and working outdoors. Jim was friendly and outgoing and he loved to garden, canning his veggies and enjoyed BBQing. He valued life, his family and his friends. Jim worked in the mobile home industry for over 30 years as a technician. He'll miss his beloved pets, Bonnie (cat) and JP (dog). JP (dog) especially, will miss their daily walks. Jim looked forward to the Prem family reunions every year. He is survived by his sisters; Margaret (Harry) Johnson of Weyerhauser, Wisc., Virginia Youngs of Lodi, Anna Mae Prem of Neenah and Rosemary Prem of San Francisco, CA. James will also be missed by many nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and nephews; and his life-long childhood friend J.D. (a.k.a Jay Rosendick). He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Jo Prem; brothers, John Prem and Richard Benson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at BLESSED TRINITY CATHOLIC PARISH AT ST. PATRICK'S CHURCH, 521 Fair Street, Lodi, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 with the Rev. Fr. Scott Jablonski presiding. Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Lodi. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at GUNDERSON LODI FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 157 S.
