Obituary

CROSS PLAINS-Marie A. Ballweg, age 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018. She was born on Dec. 2, 1923, to Edward and Mary (Stuckmeyer) Theis.  Marie was united in marriage to Raymond Ballweg on Jan. 29, 1948. Ray and Marie farmed in the town of Berry their entire life where they raised their five children.  Marie is survived by her children; Steve (Betty), Karen (Peter) Wolf, Mark (Cindy), Donna and Dave (Stacey); grandchildren, Barry, Brandon (Michelle), Byron, Luann (Zach), Angela (Casey), Brooke (Matt), Kristin (Brendan), Hayley (Dan), Kyle (Katie), Susan (Matt), Darren and Matt; great-grandchildren, Brylee, Braydon, Brenna, Liam, Ava, Aria, Avery and Lauren; a sister, Alice (Gerald) Pulvermacher and a brother, Edward (Jan) Theis.  She was preceded in death by her husband Ray; three sisters and a brother.   A Memorial Mass will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 with Father Thomas Kelley presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.  A luncheon will follow the service.  Memorials in Marie’s name may be gifted to the Alzheimer’s Association, South Central Wisconsin Chapter.  Thank you Mom for the example you set, for always being there for us and for your love and guidance.  Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

We have known Marie and family for many years! We are sorry for the loss of one great lady. She will always be remembered by us for her caring attitude and ways. Remember the good times as we are sure there were many. Paul and Marcia and Sara Yochum
