Obituary
OREGON-Chad Schwenn passed away on Monday, Feb. 27, 2017. He was born on Sept. 6, 1977, the son of Craig and Patricia (Callahan) Schwenn. Chad was involved in Cub Scouts growing up and had a love for the outdoors, playing disc golf, whitewater rafting, hiking and boating. He also enjoyed playing cards; especially cribbage and euchre. Chad worked at Corporate Courier and really enjoyed his job as a Terminal Manager for the Madison location. He was a jokester, but also selfless; always willing to help everyone else out. Chad had a great love for his family; including his parents, siblings, nieces and nephew, they were his world and came before anything else. He also loved his pets, especially his dog, Bear. Chad is survived by his parents; brother, Craig (Laura) Schwenn Jr.; sisters, Serena (Dave) Staveness and Cory (Mike) Richter; nieces and nephews, Kayla Staveness, Matthew Richter, KK Richter and Abbi Richter; and other relatives and many friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Chad loved being with family. I remember their grandparents, Margaret & John Callahan, always welcoming the grandkids into the house after school or whenever. Chad was a friendly guy - he put up with a lot of us crazy relatives. You will be missed and thoughts and prayers to his loving family.

Chad will be missed. His jester persona made us laugh, always bringing any family gathering to new heights . When Chad entered any room people took notice.. He sometimes was the life of any gathering or party.. So here's a salute to You Chad... We will all miss you...Your Uncle, Mike

I am very sorry for your loss, Patti and Craig. I guess I never babysat Chad, but sounds like he was a great guy. My heart goes out to you and the entire family.
