I always felt like I was and am a Johnson. Kathy (Muzz) and Dan (Dad) provided a home away from home for me and included me in many family dinners around their large table and many camping trips and adventures. Throughout all stages of my life, Dan always gave his advice and showed interest in whatever I was doing. I am so thankful for my childhood friendship with his daughter Whitney. This family has shown me so much about love, acceptance, strength and adventure. Love you Dad. Thank you for always making room at your table for me.

We lost a giant. Dan was humble, kind and thoughtful. He did so much to improve the quality of life for thousands of people with disabilities in Wisconsin and nationally. Karen and I send our love and deepest condolences to Kathy and the rest of the family. May his memory comfort you during this difficult time and remember, Dan would find something funny here somewhere :-)

Dan was quite a resource for me in my quests here in Wisconsin, nationally, and globally. His passing is a tremendous prompting for many to pick up from where he left off. I will do my best to live in his legacy. From his life, I believe that EveryBODY will anticipate a better life together in consideration of diverse abilities. So sorry for your loss, and I wish you all the best in peace and strength in getting through this tough time.
