I just found out from a colleague with whom we both used to work. Tom was a special soul: very warm-hearted and sincere. He was my supervisor for the very short time we worked together. Tom gave me a recommendation letter before he left, though I didn't even ask for one. That was truly a wonderful gesture that has helped me advance in my career. We kept in contact for about the following year before our lives just kind of drifted apart. My sincere condolences go out to his family. Brian Becker
