Obituary
MADISON-Patricia Ann (Dean) Landry, age 87, passed away peacefully at Meriter Hospital on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 16, 1929, in Hartland, the daughter of Herbert and Loretta (Leary) Dean. Patricia married John "Jack" Landry on Aug. 11, 1951 in Madison. She was a primary grade school teacher. Patricia was also the first director of the Dane County Epilepsy Program Information Center (EPIC) and program coordinator for the West Side Coalition for the Aging. She had a wonderful spirit of adventure and zest for life. Patricia loved traveling, singing, playing the piano and dancing, but most importantly, she cherished and loved her family. Patricia is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jack; children, Nancy (John) Dryburgh, Mike (Janet), John (Nancy), Anne (Joe) Roberts, Pete (Mary) and Kristi (Rich) Necochea; grandchildren, Kate (Justin), Mandi (Jason), Erica (Scott), Darcy (Mike), Paula, Dylan, Taylor, Rachel (Greg), Austin, Maria, Kaitlyn, Jenna, Michael, Drew, Maddie and Jack; great-grandchildren, Ava, Jayden, Skyler, Jackson, Brady, Ellie, Finn, Oliver and Henry; brother, Leary (Betty) Dean; sister, Priscilla Dean; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends that she loved dearly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2017, with Father Joji Reddy Allam presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Monday. Jack and family, I had hoped to be with you this morning, but the snow had to fall today.
My favorite memory of Pat is asking me "What seminary did you steal Pete from!" Pat & Pete were both teaching high school classes at Immaculate Heart of Mary. It always brings a smile to my face.
