John T. Armstrong

Madison-John T. Armstrong, age 74, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Karmenta Care Center. He was born on June 23, 1942, the son of John and Mary (George) Armstrong. John graduated for Madison East High School and was considered by all a warm, kind and gentle soul. He was a journeyman plumber for over 55 years, was a member of Plumbers Local 75 and regularly attended meetings for the United Association of Journeyman. John was known to visit the "local watering hole" daily to "solve the world's problems." He is survived by his cousin, Patti (John) Brabender; niece, Lisa (Scott) Armes; and many friends and neighbors. John was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Mike. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 1:30 p.m., on Thursday March 9, 2017. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
