Obituary

EVANSVILLE - James T. Bingham, age 81, of Evansville, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at Mercy Health in Janesville. He was born on Feb. 17, 1942, in Round Rock, Texas, the son of Thomas and Ruthie (Mercer) Bingham.


He married Linda (Williams) Bingham in June 1976 at Burke Lutheran Church. For many years he worked at K-Mart and Oakwood Village East. After retiring, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and hiking. He loved watching wrestling on TV and coloring on his tablet.


James is survived by his wife, Linda; step-son, David Peterson; brothers, Donnie (Marcette), Gene (Mei) and Wilber (Merly); his sister, Mary; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Roger; and sisters, Geneva and Carolyn.


A Celebration of Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the celebration on Monday. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park.
